ART’s HR function was primarily administrative as opposed to being geared toward business growth, which was the organisation’s objective. To ensure a strong foundation and best-practice people management, ART engaged Harrisons to provide expert HR support—establishing robust policies, frameworks, and leadership development initiatives to align with their evolving needs.

 

 

 

 

Solution

Harrisons supported by implementing their HR Team Service. After completing a HR Health Check with Harrisons’ Head of Service, they provided a clear roadmap and strategic HR Plan for the on site HR Manager to execute with the support of the wider Harrisons team. Key initiatives included:

  • Designed and developed a suite of HR policies, procedures and employee handbook. Which was implemented throughout the business, including training managers and employees.
  • Supported with change management during the announcement to the team of business acquisition.
  • Developed a comprehensive training and development framework including performance conversations, development plans and objectives, career maps and succession planning.
  • Designed, developed and delivered a bespoke leadership program to upskill managers and employees of ART.
  • Reviewed employee award coverage, classifications and entitlements. Developed processes around the employee lifecycle from recruitment to onboarding.
  • Reviewed existing employment conditions and employment contracts to ensure risk mitigation, competitiveness and compliance. Insuring ART remain compliant with any relevant IR legislation.
  • Advised, coached and trained managers in the management of employees including disciplinary processes.
  • Monitor employee engagement and workplace culture, and implement strategies to improve.
  • Facilitated an employee engagement survey and associated action planning to enhance engagement throughout the organization.
  • Monthly reporting against the HR Plan including HR Metrics.
