O’Reilly’s is an ecotourism retreat located in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Established for 95 years the business encompasses retreat and campground accommodation, dining and events venues, as well as the Canungra Vineyards.

The Board of O’Reilly’s appointed a Remuneration and Employment Committee that works with the Management on relevant matters involving people, culture and structure. The Committee identified the need for independent professional advisors to conduct a complete review of the organisational structure and recommend the optimal structure to support ongoing business growth.

Solution

Harrison Human Resources was engaged to undertake this project, which included an organisational structure review.

The primary objectives of the project were to review the current structure for the various O’Reilly’s businesses (retreat, accommodation, day spa, vineyard and corporate office), establish clarity of roles, responsibilities, and key performance indicators. O’Reilly’s were seeking a service provider to look at the business with a clean slate approach and provide recommendations for an optimal structure that delivers greater operational excellence and improved and consistent commercial results.

Harrison HR completed the following project deliverables:

  • Review current organisational structure for different business entities.
  • Review and establish management structure and scope of each management role.
  • Establish clarity of roles, responsibilities, remuneration bands and KPIs.
  • Analyse commercial outcomes and ensure alignment between the current structure and the resulting commercial outcomes.
  • Provide recommendations to the business around changes to the organisational structure that improve organisational efficiency and commercial, financial and KPI results, as well as customer service.
