CLAIRE HARRISON

Founder & Managing Director 

Claire is a small business owner who gets it. Having grown up in a small business environment and built Harrisons from the ground up since 2009, she understands the reality of running an SME — the pressure to lift productivity, the frustration of underperformance holding the team back, and the pride and vulnerability that come with creating something of your own. She’s felt those challenges herself, and she brings genuine empathy to every business owner she works with. 

Alongside that lived experience, Claire brings over 20 years of senior HR experience, including HR Director roles in multinational organisations. A Certified Practising Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute (FCPHR) and AHRI Queensland State Councillor, she holds tertiary qualifications in accounting, management and law, a Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety, and has completed Executive Education at Columbia Business School. She is a Mental Health First Aider and author of two books on HR leadership and consulting. 

Claire’s combination of firsthand small business experience, deep corporate HR expertise and commercial and legal training makes her a trusted partner for business owners and managers who want to build a productive, high-performing team — and get back to growing the business they set out to create.
